Paula Ruiz, RP, serves as a Faculty Member, TA Coordinator, and Clinical Supervisor at OPC College. As a dedicated Registered Psychotherapist, Paula is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), the Canadian Association of Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT), and the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists (OSRP). Her multifaceted role encompasses teaching, supervising, and representing the faculty on the OPC Committee on Diversity (COD).

Prior to her psychotherapy career, Paula earned a PhD in Anthropology from McGill University, where she focused on collective trauma and women’s mental health. She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Social Aetiology of Mental Illness (SAMI) program at the Centre for Addiction & Mental Health (CAMH).

Paula’s journey with OPC College began as a teaching assistant in 2020, and she transitioned to a faculty member in 2021. Her diverse academic background and clinical expertise enhance the educational experience at OPCC, reflecting a commitment to inclusivity and excellence in psychotherapeutic education.
